Candidates for chemical peels include adults wanting to see an improvement in their skin tone or skin texture. During a consultation, your aesthetician will analyze your skin and let you know the correct peel for your skin type. You will notice a difference after one peel, but a series of peels are recommended to achieve your best result.
The VI Chemical Peel Treatment
Your skin practitioner will begin by cleansing your treatment area. Then, they will apply your predetermined VI Peel solution to the skin. This first layer of solution may cause your skin to feel numb or tingly. Soon, the second layer of solution is applied evenly onto the skin and the skin will begin to turn white. You will be released and must cleanse the peel from your skin after four to six hours.
VI Chemical Peel Recovery and Results
The most common side effect after treatment is light peeling from days two to five. By day seven, most of the peeling is done and the skin looks rejuvenated. Peeling times can vary from client to client. Most results will emerge within one week.
